I spent today working on preparations for Thanksgiving. I really love Thanksgiving, I think it's one of my favorite holidays. It's a time for good food, family, and being thankful for all God has done in my life. He's been so good to me. I have many many things to be thankful for.
My sister, mom and I made garland this evening. I think it's adorable. We also set out each place setting to make sure we have enough of the right plates. I know it's dorky, but I love setting up place settings, putting each fork, spoon and knife in it's proper place. Last November I set up close to 600 place settings for a banquet my mom was catering. I didn't like that so much. haha.
Today really made me miss being in church though. I spent so many years hardly missing any sundays, always being involved in ministry there.
We left our church about a month ago. For various reasons, but it was really the best thing. But it's really hard. Those people were my family. I really miss being involved. I hate that I'm going to miss decorating the church for christmas, putting ornaments on the huge christmas tree. I've always loved that.
I know we'll get settled in a new church soon. I know God's got the perfect one out there for us, It's just hard, the waiting.
