rain, rain, go away...

rain, rain

Psalms 135: 6-7
6Whatever the LORD pleases, he does,
in heaven and on earth,
in the seas and all deeps.
7 He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth,
who makes lightnings for the rain
and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

The past couple of months it's seemed like it's rained non-stop. Every once and a while we'll get a sunny day and then it's gone. I've been learning to enjoy those days while they're here, but know it's raining for a reason. It's simple things like that I seem to forget the most, that all things happen for a reason. Maybe we'll have spectacular spring flowers because of all this rain.

  4. I love your pictures! I just got a new camera too that I've been experimenting with, do you have any tips for a beginner like me? Also, what lenses have you been using?

  5. michelle: thank you! my tips: take a TON of pictures. don't just take one of an interesting subject, take it from every angle possible, and don't delete it just because it doesn't look great on your tiny camera screen. wait till you see it large on the computer, it makes a world of difference. And really learn how to use your camera, what all the settings mean, and trying shooting in manual, it's fun. also: don't over photoshop. it's no fun that way. haha. i don't even have photoshop.

the main lens i use is a 50mm f/1.8 lens. i really recommend it, and it's pretty cheap (for lenses, that is!)

    and have fun!
