Life is a beautiful thing, oh don't waste it doll.

Today I decided I was going to take it slow. Every time I saw a photo opportunity I stopped, shot a few frames before I moved on.

It slowed me down quite a bit, it took me an hour to get to the grocery store, it usually takes only 20 minutes.

And even though I was less than thrilled with most of the results, it was worth it. It's beautiful out there, if you take the time to look.

You can see the rest here.

  1. I walked by a fragrant white pine tree this past weekend in Central Park. The smell made me pine (pun totally intended) for my favorite season. I can't wait for lovely autumn to officially arrive.

  4. I know exactly what you're talking about. I spent nearly two years in Minneapolis all by myself while I completed graduate school. It was miserable - I was so lonely and homesick for family. Every weekend and every morning, afternoon and evening I could spare, I'd take slow walks with my camera. It forces you to be in tune with nature, and in turn, be entirely at peace with the world. What a fabulous feeling, right? Thanks for sharing!

    Cheers,

  9. You are so right about the beauty. One of my favorite things to do is notice small things through the lens of my camera that others may not take the time to enjoy. You've really got a good eye! Gorgeous photos.
